My experience with Web Design
Introspective
As a student at Daytona State College, I have a better technical understanding of web development and design. My core skills that have come out from this course are:
- HTML and CSS: I can design organized, accessible, responsive websites with specific styling.
- JavaScript: I’ve added interactive, dynamism, drag and drop, dynamic objects, animation, etc.
- Responsive Design: I ensured they were responsive and compatible with many devices.
- Canvas and Visually Complex Graphics: I created visually complex graphics, such as spirographs and animations, using the HTML5 Canvas API.
- JSON Data Usage: I used JSON for some of the dynamic data storing and enhanced web interaction.
- Content Management Systems (CMS): I learned and gained some experience with CMS, such as WordPress, these tools are very practical when developing site content.
- Forms and User Interaction: I created a form that is user-friendly and interactive.
I believe that these new concepts and tools utilized during this course improved my skills as a web developer with expertise in coding and developing languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. All of these provided me with a great understanding of databases, data visualization, and CMS systems. I love designing applications and web pages and would love to keep exploring this field and gain more experience as I go.
